To my unborn son - part 1.
Personal Growth

To my unborn son - part 1.

Whoever you want to be, whatever you want to do or who you will become, I hope that you will find joy & happiness in life.

Please know, that you have a father that loves you more than life, and that my only job is to prepare you for your own.

I will be harsh, and I will be true to you, just as my father was to me, and it is out of nothing but love.

Until we can talk & reason like two  kindred spirits (my estimate: a few years after you’ve survived  puberty), use these letters, and do your best in trying to let them  guide you.

Always speak the truth

It’s never the easy way, but it’s always the right way.  Today, it’s a rare commodity, and if you have it, you will find a lot of  respect and attract the right people to yourself.

Even more important, be truthful to yourself. Deceiving yourself is easy, but hurts you in more ways than you can fathom.

Respect yourself

Chances are that you, as your father and your grandfather  before you, are born introverted. If this becomes true, you will always  look inward first and search your inner self before you look out. When  doing this, you will find flaws and mistakes at a massive scale.

Don’t let them bring you down. Your flaws are what makes you, and they will make sure that you become a good person.

Respect yourself enough to make sure that you never settle for anything less than you are worth.

Never disrespect a female.

I hope that when you read this, this subtitle can be  changed to “never disrespect a human being”, but the truth is that when I  started this draft in february 2017, it was a different world. Women  especially where (and still are) in a much more vulnerable position than  men.

As I’m finishing this today, almost a year later, the  future looks brighter. Women of the world just started a movement that  hopefully will make sure that no one suffers more than anyone else  because of an inherent trait such as sex or skin color.

Give your word, keep it.

If your word has value, you can move mountains with it.

Hustle in Silence & stay humble

I’m certain that you will be very successful at whatever  it is you put your mind too, it’s in your blood and you will find it  both a blessing and a curse. We can get more into detail on it as you go  along, but until we get to that point.

Keep your hustle to yourself, because when you do, instead  of broadcasting your work in progress to the world, great things will  come. And when the great things come, stay humble, because without being  humble, you will never be able to advance to the next level. If you  always believe you are the smartest person in the room, you probably  aren’t.

Don’t broadcast your life on the internet

As I’m writing this our lives are defined in 4:5 pictures  with various filters showing off the greatest parts of them. Don’t be  fooled by the smiles and lavish lifestyles. The society that your father  was brought up in is facing a great epidemic due to the rise of social  media, if it still exists, in the same toxic way it does today, I hope  that you see through it. (however, always get your dose of memes and  awesome dogs being dogs)

Don’t talk shit behind someones back

If you have something to say about someone, say it to their face. Leave trash talk to the people that don’t know any better.

Oh and kiddo, me and your mother love you without limitations.
